It is very important that we understand the word of God, for the scripture in john 1:12 says for as many as received him he has giving the power to become the sons of God even to those who believed in his name, you can not receive and believe and not obey him, listen very well to the scripture again he gave them power cause they obeyed to receive and believe him.

You obey to receive the word of God
You obey to receive and believe, and did you notice one thing in that scripture, he gave them the power to become sons and children of God which means you need to be empowered to be a child of God not to be a Christian, we need to come off the Christian mentality of praying and fasting without obedience. The greatest and number one thing the Lord requires from us as humans to become his sons is obedience.
When you obey him you become wise cause you don’t do things by worldly reasoning anymore but by his leading, likewise, when you obey him you prosper beyond doubts above all life challenges cause he makes way for you in all situations. The question is why is it so easy to pray, fast, read the bible but hard to obey?
That’s the mystery of the kingdom of God, simple obedience to receive and believe. you would obey your father even if the president of your country calls you at the same time your father calls, children who refuse to obey their fathers are called vagabonds so you can’t continue to disobey God and expect him to be happy with you just like our earthly father would not be happy with us when we disobey him.

Then take a look at your life the answer is obvious, no matter the prayer warrior you can be or starve yourself for 50 days not eating and call it fasting or study the word without obedient you can not receive the promises of God, Note: promises are different from daily bread, the promises of God is your destiny that the Lord intended for you and its only obedience that can deliver the promise into manifestation God can not be happy to give you that without obedience, your daily bread is food, shelter, clothes if that’s what your life revolve around then its time for check and balance.
